M/s. Innovative Marine Foods Limited was incorporated on September 01, 1989 as a Public Limited Company in the State of Kerala and obtained a Certificate of Commencement of Business on 4th March 1991.
Innovative Marine Foods Limited (IMFL) has been promoted by Amalgam Foods Limited (AFL).
AFL was set up in 1977 by Abraham J. Tharakan and Ramesh J. Thakaran as a partnership firm to process block frozen shrimp and other marine products. Over the years, the firm expanded and has set up facilities at Alleppey and Quilon (Kerala). Mandapam (Tamil Nadu) and Bhubaneshwar (Orissa) to process about 5846 TPA of marine products. In 1986, the firm’s assets and liabilities were taken over by Amalgam Foods (P) Limited which was converted to a public limited
company in 1988.
2007 The company has appointed Mrs. Sheila Nair as Managing Director.
