Company History
1994 - Two sand ships were acquired and were named Balaji Premium & Balaji Vintage. Also, on a part of its diversification foray into the power sector, made an application of A. P. State Electricity Board to set up a 100 MW residual oil/heavy fuel oil diesel engine power plant in Andhra Pradesh.

Government of Tamil Nadu gave its approval for setting up a brewery with a capacity of 5 crore litres tie up with UB Group involving an investment outlay of Rs 58.5 crores. IFCI sanctioned a foreign currency loan of Rs 35 crores. 90,00,000 No. of Equity shares of Rs 10 each issued to promoters, directors etc. (22,50,000 Equity Shares were offered for sale to public during August at a premium of Rs 60 per share.) The Company entered the export market with Consumer Goods and Computer Hardware during the year.

The Company proposes to raise funds from the Capital markets, to meet the proposed on-going projects.
