In an interview with Anil Ambani he disclosed that out of the 6 projected projects for Reliance power , the first project will start in 2009 which means the first return for the stock holders would come originally after a two years wait period.
The 6 projects totally costing around 31000 crore indian rupees , out of which around 8000 crore funds would be brought in via the upcoming reliance power ipo and the balance funds which sum upto 23000Crore Indian rupees would be gathered from various sources like indian and foreign banks who would offer Reliance power projects credit funds. Anil Ambani is very much confident about his projects because of his lowest bids for the projects and the tariff based biddings.
As already discussed , the project would be originally starting in the year 2009, hence all the stock investors would be originally gaining from this IPO after the year 2009 once the projects start giving out results. In the mean time trading will be very low in my view though we cannot expect unless launched.
Anil Ambani did have some good comments quoting that previously people use to need Roti , Kapda aur Makaan , now they say Roti, Kapda , Makaan aur Mobile [Referring to Reliance Mobiles] and in future people will add up Power to these statements. Lets see how the stocks come out in the month of february and how would the investors gain after this IPO.

Amit is always known for feeding the people with the type of content they will be searching for. Just as I was eager to know abt Reliance power IPO, I found his post real helpful. Although it seems to be a long term story, but profit margins will certainly start moving right from its day of listing. So no matter how much I invest, i can come out with good profits.
Will await for more share trading posts from Amit. Cheers
